We run a lot of identical disks in DIY / TrueNAS shelves without bay LEDs. When SMART starts looking ugly you still need three answers: which serial to pull, who shares its ZFS vdev (mirror / raidz), and whether the counter is still growing.

Today we publish that toolkit as MIT open source:

• diskinfo — standalone CLI: pool as a vdev tree → serial (also ext4/btrfs/… disks)
• Diskrisk — optional web//json SMART risk + GROWING trends (via Beszel)
